Kaleb Nation

Kaleb Allen Nation got into writing thanks to his mother, who would force him to write one page a week in creative writing (Kaleb was homeschooled). At first, Kaleb didn't really care for writing, but once he finished his first story he discoverd just how much he actually enjoyed it. Lucky for us, he hasn't been able to stop writing since.

On the third night of the third month in 2003, Kaleb (age 14 at the time) had a sudden idea that began the story of Bran Hambric, a novel which would take most of his teenage years to write. In early 2007, Kaleb finished the first book in his series (Bran Hambric: The Farfield Curse) and signed with a New York literary agency. On 9/9/09, Kaleb's debut novel was published by Sourcebooks Jabberwocky, one of the largest independent publishers in the US. On 1/10/10, Kaleb announced the forthcoming sequel, Bran Hambric: The Specter Key. (Anybody noticed the pattern yet?)

Aside from writing, Kaleb also makes YouTube videos, launched the successful TwilightGuy.com, a site about a guy (himself) who reads the Twilight Saga (this site has actually helpled many males come out of the... erm... "Twilight closet"), makes music (used in his YouTube videos and for his books' soundtrack), and moonlighted as a radio host during his teen years. He is also a former black belt in taekwondo, just so you know.

Funny man Kaleb is prone to eating Tuna Helper, Pringles, and salmon, though not at the same time. He really likes plaid shirts, is a big fan of Owl City, and constantly has his bangs fall in his face even after he has just had a haircut. He is also prisoner to a community of gnomes who lock him in his home and make him write non-stop for days. (His last lockdown had him writing 10,000 words per day, if not more, only surfacing at times on twitter just to reassure us he was still alive; for all we know, it could have been the gnomes tweeting on his behalf.)

In his free time, Kaleb enjoys photography, music and blogging at his website KalebNation.com.
